The successful applicant will work as part of a team in the diagnosis of animal diseases and laboratory research projects. The job will primarily involve support duties for the laboratory team. Duties will include booking in and preparing samples, basic equipment maintenance and calibration, stock checks, preparation of reagents, sending out sampling kits and other general support duties. Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice and ISO:17025 will be required at all times. In time the successful candidate will be expected to work within our Containment Level 4 (CL4) facility.
You will have:
- National 5 (or equivalent) qualification in Mathematics, English and one science subject.
- Written work must be neat and legible.
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience of working within a laboratory environment would be advantageous although not essential as full training will be given.
- A full, clean driver’s licence is essential.
